Job summary

JSS is seeking a Management Accountant & Investment Reporting Analyst to join its finance team. The role covers management accounting, fund accounting, investment reporting, and portfolio analysis with exposure to senior stakeholders.

You will drive improvements in reporting processes, automation, and efficiency across the group in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant with strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience working with investment management or asset management sector is a plus.
• Proven ability to deliver timely financial reporting and insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software and dashboards.

Responsibilities

A growing investment and asset management business is seeking a Management Accountant & Investment Reporting Analyst to join its finance team. The organisation has a diverse portfolio of investments and operating companies and offers a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with exposure to management accounting, investment reporting, portfolio analysis and business operations. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders while supporting the ongoing growth and development of the business.

The Role

The Management Accountant & Investment Reporting Analyst will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the group. The role combines management accounting, fund accounting, investment reporting, financial analysis and wider business support responsibilities, while also driving improvements in reporting processes, automation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
• Produce cash flow forecasts, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Deliver reporting packs and financial analysis for senior management.
• Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
• Prepare audit schedules and support the year-end audit process.
• Assist with investor reporting, investment performance reporting and portfolio analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives and reporting enhancements.
• Support ad hoc commercial, operational and strategic projects as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Strong background in management accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Previous experience within investment management, asset management, private equity, financial services or a related sector.
• Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
• Proven ability to develop meaningful management reporting and performance dashboards.
• Experience implementing process improvements, automation initiatives and reporting efficiencies.
