About the team and/or client

This role sits within the central finance team of GroupM UK, reporting into the Financial Controller. The role will work closely with the rest of the GroupM team as well as the Agency Commercial teams.

The Role Objective

The main purpose of the role is the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly intercompany management accounting for reporting to both GroupM management. This requires detailed variance analysis and exception reporting. Liaising with Finance Plus and various business units within GroupM. The role will also support on key financial objectives that promote efficiencies within the team and the business. Engagement with various parts of the business at different levels of seniority is essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly Management Accounts reconciled to TB
• Manage the intercompany P&L process, accruing all recharges from counterparties and resolving mismatches
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (intercompany recharges accrued, receivables, payables), ensuring all are reconciled monthly
• Provide monthly intercompany variance analysis (comparing to budget/forecast) and exception reporting
• Ensure all intercompany transactions are correctly recorded in SAP and ICM
• Address post month-end queries, e.g., AP intercompany mis-postings
• Assist with Group & Stats audits
• Prepare supporting schedules that tie back to main P&L and Balance Sheet (TB)
• Prepare information for auditors for SOX, interim, and year-end audits
• Prepare quarterly corporate responsibility packs

Group / WPP reporting

• Prepare supporting schedules for reporting in Cartesis
• Liaise with EMEA to resolve intercompany queries

Other and periodic

• Ensure compliance with company policies and SOX requirements
• Review current processes for improvements
• Handle ad hoc intercompany queries
• Participate in ad hoc projects as directed by SFC / FC or Finance Leads
