Job summary

Freightliner Ltd in the UK is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to support the timely preparation of monthly management accounts, journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations across Intermodal.

You will partner with the Finance Business Partner, drive accuracy in reporting, contribute to forecasting and budgeting, support control improvements and assist with system upgrades while upholding safety and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Final stage ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience with lease, fixed assets and payroll advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journals and accruals for indirect costs.
• Prepare robust month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support timely deliverables and workload planning.
• Review cost trends, investigate variances and provide commentary.
• Assist with controls framework reviews and improvements.
• Provide audit support and respond to queries.
• Assist with system upgrades and automation in month-end reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partner for monthly reviews.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• Follow HS&E procedures and maintain safe working practices.
