Job summary

Freightliner Group Ltd is seeking a Management Accountant to support the Intermodal finance team with month-end reporting, journal processing, and balance sheet reconciliations. The role focuses on accuracy, controls, and timely financial information for management consideration.

You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner and broader finance team, contributing to forecasting, budgeting, and continuous improvement of reporting processes across the function.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified Accountant at the Final stage (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in management accounting, lease, fixed assets and payroll.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders through financial insight.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journals and accruals for indirect costs (leasing, fixed assets, payroll).
• Prepare robust month-end balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Support workload to ensure timely deliverables.
• Review cost trends, explain variances, and provide commentary for monthly packs.
• Support Intermodal controls reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide audit query oversight and strengthen audit readiness.
• Assist with transformation and system upgrade initiatives in month-end reporting.
