About Our Client

Our client is a well-established institution within the educational sector, based in Oxford.

Job Description

Based on site (Parking is available). Office 4 days per week, 1 day from home. Under the supervision of the Controller, the Management Accountant/Finance Manager is responsible for executing budgeting, ongoing forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting. This involves interfacing with other department heads and understanding College priorities. You will support the Controller in endowment administration activities, including reviewing accounting entries, working with external service providers such as banks, fund managers, and investment advisors. You will have responsibilities for project accounting in College subsidiaries involved in development and capex projects. Additionally, you will assist with the College's taxation affairs, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation tax. The role also includes financial process reviews, data analysis, and ad hoc projects.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

• An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Experience in a Management accounting/Finance Manager role.
• Progression within a business environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Business Partnering experience.
• A proactive work approach.
• Ideally, experience with Endowments.
