Job summary

Finatal is partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed business in the North West to appoint a Management Accountant / Finance Manager. Location: Warrington, office-based. This is an opportunity to shape the finance function as the business scales.

You will work closely with the senior finance team to build robust reporting, strengthening controls, supporting acquisition integration, and driving accounting excellence across journals and month-end processes.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be suitably qualified by experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced or rapidly changing environment.
• Willingness to get into the detail and solve problems yourself.
• Strong Excel skills and experience improving finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Improving management reporting and month-end processes.

Management Accountant and Finance Manager

Finatal is partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed business in the North West to appoint a Management Accountant / Finance Manager.

The business has experienced significant growth following recent investment, combining strong organic growth with an active acquisition strategy. As a result, the scale and complexity of the organisation has moved considerably faster than its existing finance infrastructure.

They are looking for someone who can help professionalise the finance function while remaining genuinely hands-on.

The Role

Working closely with the senior finance team, you will help build the reporting, controls and processes required for the next stage of growth.

Responsibilities will include:

• Improving management reporting and month-end processes
• Strengthening financial controls and finance processes
• Supporting the integration of acquired businesses
• Assisting with audit and wider technical accounting requirements
• Improving the quality and reliability of financial information
• Working through historic and imperfect data where required

The Profile

This role will suit a Management Accountant or Finance Manager who enjoys building and improving rather than inheriting a polished finance function.

You will ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be suitably qualified by experience
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
• Experience operating in a fast-paced or rapidly changing environment
• A willingness to get into the detail and solve problems yourself
• Strong Excel skills and experience improving finance processes
• Exposure to PE-backed, acquisitive or high-growth businesses would be advantageous
