Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a growing business in Crewe to recruit a Management Accountant. You will support monthly management accounts, journals, reconciliations and financial analysis across multiple entities.

You will forecast, budget and report cash flow, monitor costs, assist with year-end audits, and provide ad hoc reporting to Finance Managers.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary £45,000-£55,000, and long-term career opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA or QBE.
• Proven experience in management accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple business entities.
• Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
• Complete bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist with the production and analysis of profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities, providing insight into financial performance.
• Monitor operational and project costs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with cash flow management, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support labour recovery and cost allocation processes across the business.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate asset accounting.
• Assist with year-end audit processes and respond to external auditor requests.
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and support to Finance Managers and key stakeholders.

A successful Management Accountant should have:
