Job summary

SF Partners are recruiting a Management Accountant for a Cannock-based role. You will take ownership of monthly management accounts and provide key financial insight to support decision-making within a supportive finance team.

The ideal candidate will have proven month-end experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a qualification such as CIMA/ACCA/ACA or QBE. Excellent Excel skills and a proactive approach to improving processes and controls are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong month-end accounting experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification or qualified by experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
• Variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
• Budgeting and forecasting support.
• Cash flow reporting and monitoring.
• Assisting with year-end audit requirements.
• Producing financial reports and KPIs for senior management.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Business partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders.
