Job summary

SF Partners in Warwick is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to own key elements of the month-end process and deliver accurate reporting and actionable commercial insight. You will join a supportive finance team and partner with operations to drive improvements.

The role reports to the Finance Manager and requires strong management accounting experience in a product-led environment with excellent Excel skills and the ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified or finalist level (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or qualified by experience.
• Experience producing management accounts in commercial/manufacturing environments.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large data volumes.
• Strong communication with non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Produce variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast and prior year.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Maintain robust financial controls and financial data accuracy.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting.
• Support cash flow reporting and working capital management.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders, providing financial guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and controls.
• Support wider finance projects as required.

This is a broad, hands-on opportunity within a successful product-led organisation with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service. You will join a supportive finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate reporting and meaningful commercial insight.

The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of key elements of the month-end process and work closely with colleagues across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations


• Producing variance analysis and clear commentary against budget, forecast and prior year


• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes


• Maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring the accuracy of financial data


• Assisting with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
  
• Supporting cash flow reporting and working capital management


• Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders, providing clear financial guidance and challenge


• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and controls


• Supporting wider finance projects as required

About you

You will be a proactive, well-organised finance professional with strong management accounting experience.

Ideally, you will be:

• Qualified or finalist level (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or qualified by experience


• Experienced in producing management accounts within a commercial, manufacturing, distribution or product-led environment


• Advanced in Excel and confident working with large volumes of data


• A clear communicator, able to build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders


• Detail-focused, commercially aware and comfortable working to monthly deadlines


• Someone who takes ownership and actively looks for ways to improve processes
