Job summary

SF Partners in Cannock is recruiting a Management Accountant to take ownership of monthly management accounts and provide key financial insight to support business decisions. This role sits in a supportive finance team and offers opportunities to influence operations across the business.

The ideal candidate will have previous management accounting experience, strong month-end skills, and excellent analytical and communication abilities, with proficient Excel and accounting qualifications

Qualifications

• Experience in management accounting or similar role.
• Strong month-end accounting experience.

• Strong communication skills with influence across stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Record accruals, prepayments and journal postings.
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Produce cash flow reporting and monitoring.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements.
• Generate reports and KPIs for senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Partner with operational and non-finance stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional to join a supportive finance team, taking ownership of management accounts and providing key financial insight to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
• Variance analysis and commentary on financial performance
• Budgeting and forecasting support
• Cash flow reporting and monitoring
• Assisting with year-end audit requirements
• Producing financial reports and KPIs for senior management
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
• Business partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders

About You

• Previous experience within a Management Accountant role or similar
• Strong month-end accounting experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
