• 4+ years in management accounting or bookkeeping in a UK accounting firm environment.

• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate management reporting for a portfolio of UK and international businesses.
• Analyse financial data and provide clients with meaningful commentary on business performance.
• Take ownership of day-to-day client relationships and act as a key point of contact.
• Review accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout reporting cycles.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies identified.
• Prepare indirect tax submissions and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
• Support clients in using accounting and finance systems.
• Contribute to the implementation of process improvements and more efficient financial workflows.
• Work closely with colleagues on client onboarding, reporting projects and systems-related initiatives.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will act as a trusted financial contact for a portfolio of businesses, supporting clients with their reporting needs and helping them gain greater visibility over their financial performance. Working within a team of experienced accounting and systems experts, you will be involved in both routine reporting and broader client‑focused projects, gaining valuable exposure to cloud accounting technologies and evolving financial processes.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 4+ years' experience in a management accounting/bookkeeping/outsourcing role with a UK based accounting firm environment.
• Strong grounding in double‑entry bookkeeping principles and experience preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Working knowledge of cloud‑based and ERP accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or SAP
• Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple assignments
