Job summary

WestonBrook Associates is partnering with a prominent professional services firm in Slough to recruit a Management Accountant for their growing team. The role focuses on delivering timely management reporting, client relationships, and ensuring accurate financial records across multiple sectors.

You will work in a hybrid setup, handling UK and international portfolios, with exposure to VAT reporting and cloud ERP systems.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years of experience in a management accounting/bookkeeping/outsourcing role with a UK-based accounting firm environment.
• Strong grounding in double-entry bookkeeping principles and experience preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
• Working knowledge of cloud-based and ERP accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or SAP.
• Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate management reporting for a portfolio of UK and international businesses
• Analyse financial data and provide clients with meaningful commentary on business performance
• Take ownership of day-to-day client relationships and act as a key point of contact
• Review accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout reporting cycles
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies identified
• Prepare indirect tax submissions and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines
• Support clients in making effective use of accounting and finance systems
• Contribute to the implementation of process improvements and more efficient financial workflows
• Work closely with colleagues on client onboarding, reporting projects and systems-related initiatives

The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will act as a trusted financial contact for a portfolio of businesses, supporting clients with their reporting needs and helping them gain greater visibility over their financial performance.
Working within a team of experienced accounting and systems experts, you will be involved in both routine reporting and broader client-focused projects, gaining valuable exposure to cloud accounting technologies and evolving financial processes.
