This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful change, improve cost efficiency and play a important role in shaping the performance of a global business.

Our Finance team is based across two main sites - Aberdeen and Kuala Lumpur. This role will be based from our Aberdeen office headquarters, on a hybrid working basis. We're happy to discuss how that will look for you as part of the hiring process.

On a typical day, it looks like this...

  • Analyse daily financial transactions to ensure accuracy and alignment with budgets.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Investigate discrepancies between actual and expected performance, recommending corrective actions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and update financial forecasts based on current business performance.
  • Review departmental cost structures and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with senior managers, Finance colleagues, and cross-functional teams (e.g. HR, Operations) to gather data and provide financial insights.
  • Liaise with external partners such as auditors, tax consultants, and banks to ensure compliance and support audits.
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory financial statements and compliance with local regulations.
  • Oversee tax filings, payroll processes, and statutory payments (e.g. EPF, Income Tax, SOCSO, EIS).
  • Manage intercompany billing, transfer pricing reviews, and fund transfers for operational continuity.
Operational Finance
  • Supervise end-to-end finance activities including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset management.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage intercompany collections and payments.
  • Maintain and review Finance SOPs and participate in integration and process improvement initiatives.
To be brilliant in this role, you'll...
  • Be a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS)
  • Have experience working in complex financial environments with a multinational, multicurrency business
  • Have proven experience in a management accounting, financial analysis, or business partnering role.
  • Experienced in preparing monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Familiarity with statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment and supporting operational decision-making.
  • Be highly focused and accurate with an uncompromising eye for detail
  • Have a track record of delivering accurate work to deadlines in a fast-paced organisation, with excellent prioritisation and task management skills.
  • Be able to communicate well with internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to influence and guide towards agreed outcomes.
  • Have high integrity, a role model for doing the right thing and commitment to high performance.
  • Experience of NetSuite would be advantageous but full training will be provided
