Join Marsh Finance as Our New Management Accountant

Greater Manchester | Hybrid Working Available

Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Permanent Role | Reporting to Finance Director

We’re now looking for a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team and help lead our finance operations to the next level.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on and high-impact role, ideal for a finance professional looking to step into a leadership position and develop broader commercial skills.

You'll work closely with our Finance Director, leading and supporting a team of four while delivering high-quality financial reporting for our internal stakeholders and external Facilities Management clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly income statements, balance sheets and client reports
• Assisting with monthly board pack production
• Supervising and mentoring our internal finance team (including a team leader)
• Supporting key operations like banking, payment runs, and dealer data uploads
• Liaising with external auditors, funders and other stakeholders
• Helping to transition from Excel-based accounting to Sage
• Driving improvements in MI reporting and departmental procedures
• Playing an active role in HR responsibilities, team objectives, and projects

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in a management accounting or senior finance role
• Excellent Excel skills and strong Sage knowledge
• Ability to coach and support a growing team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-moving environment
• Great communication skills — able to liaise across departments confidently
• Comfortable handling sensitive information and leading by example

• Experience working withfunding partners
• Previous involvement inprocess improvement projects
• Confidence in managing small third-party client accounts
