Job Description
The key responsibilities for a Management Accountant will include:
- Oversee the end to end management accounts function.
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Experience managing end to end management accounts and a strong background in financial reporting and forecasting.
- Part qualified working towards professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or similar.
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
- Proficient using accounting software ideally SAGE and solid MS excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
