Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Management Accountant for our team in Birmingham. The role is based at Thimble Mill Lane with 37.5 hours per week and some flexibility on hours. We cannot offer sponsorship certificates for this position.

You will support the contract management team with monthly management accounts and financial reporting, providing analysis to inform decisions while ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely financial reporting and analysis for contracts
• Prepare management accounts through to trial balance for contracts
• Conduct variance analysis of contract results for senior management
• Support CVR reporting with monthly completion for accuracy
• Manage cash recovery through monthly applications and third party invoicing, including debt management
• Lead on contract audit queries internally and externally

What will you be responsible for?

As a Management Accountant, you'll be working within the finance team, supporting them in delivering timely financial reporting and analysis. Join our finance team and play a key role in supporting the contract management team with monthly management accounts and financial reporting. You'll provide valuable analysis that helps inform business decisions, whilst ensuring strong internal controls and compliance. Your day to day will include:

• Preparing management accounts through to trial balance for contracts

• Managing cash recovery through monthly applications and third party invoicing, including debt management
• Leading on contract audit queries both internally and externally
