Job summary

Trinity House Group, headquartered in Birmingham, is looking for a Management Accountant to help modernise the finance function and translate numbers into clear business insight.

You will own monthly management accounts, scrutinise the balance sheet, help shape reporting as the business evolves and support VAT, statutory submissions and the external audit. Part qualified or ACCA/CIMA studying, you’ll work with Excel and drive improvements across systems and data.

Qualifications

• Part qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA, or qualified by experience in management accounting.
• Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and curiosity about the story behind the numbers.

Responsibilities

• Owning the monthly management accounts and explaining what's driving performance
• Keeping a tight grip on the balance sheet and investigating unusual items
• Helping shape management information and reporting as the business evolves
• Taking ownership of fixed assets, company card and expenses, and utilities, including supporting contract renewals
• Getting involved in VAT, statutory submissions and the external audit

I'm partnering with a well known brand on this Management Accountant appointment at their Birmingham head office. It's a business with real heritage, a loyal customer base and a strong presence across the UK.
