Job summary

TipTopJob in the United Kingdom is seeking a Management Accountant in Lincoln to join a fast-moving finance team. You will own the end-to-end monthly management accounts process and take the first pass of the P&L, while preparing accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualifications (or part qualified), strong financial analysis skills, advanced Excel and Power BI experience.

Qualifications

• Strong management accounting and financial analysis experience.
• Excellent Excel skills and willingness to enhance reporting.
• Power BI experience or willingness to develop dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end monthly management accounts process and first-pass of the P&L.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, provisions, inventory analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyse performance and investigate variance drivers across the business.
• Produce revenue and profit analyses by product family.
• Lead variance reviews and identify risks and root causes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation and lease accounting.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist audits.
• Develop Power BI reporting and dashboards.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate finance processes.
• Provide financial challenge and insights to operational teams.
• Improve processes, documentation and knowledge sharing.

The role of Management Accountant

• Support the end:to:end monthly management accounts process and take ownership of the first pass of the P and L
• Prepare accruals, prepayments, provisions, inventory analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyse financial and operational performance, investigating the drivers behind key variances
• Produce revenue and profit analysis across different product families
• Lead work order and variance reviews, identifying trends, risks and root causes
• Support budgeting and forecasting
• Manage fixed asset, depreciation and lease accounting
• Prepare VAT returns and support internal and external audit requirements
• Develop and improve Power BI reporting and dashboards
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate finance processes, reducing manual and non:value:added activity
• Provide constructive financial challenge and insight to operational stakeholders
• Help strengthen processes, documentation and knowledge sharing across the finance team
