Job summary

TipTopJob in Grantham is seeking a Management Accountant for a hybrid role combining hands-on accounting with strategic business insight. You will own management reporting, cash flow forecasting, and partner with teams to drive performance across the business.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or be a strong QBE candidate) with proven experience in producing management accounts and analysing variances. Sage 200 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or strong QBE with relevant experience.
• Experience producing management accounts with strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience in cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Comfortable with senior stakeholders and turning financial information into practical insight.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and support group reporting.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital and weekly payment planning.
• Provide variance analysis and management reporting.
• Partner with budget holders to understand performance and challenge where appropriate.
• Support budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare VAT returns and maintain balance sheet controls.
• Support statutory accounts and the annual audit.
• Oversee elements of Accounts Payable and support junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls and month-end close.
• Support finance projects and systems improvements.

Management Accountant : Grantham/Hybrid : Circa A GBP 45k

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for a Management Accountant for a successful and growing business based in Grantham. This is a broad, hands:on role offering much more than simply producing the monthly numbers. Working closely with the Financial Controller and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of management reporting and cash flow forecasting while partnering with teams across the business to provide meaningful financial insight. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting behind the numbers, improving processes and having a genuine commercial impact. This opportunity would suit an experienced Management Accountant, Senior Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Company Accountant or Assistant Financial Controller looking for a broad, commercially focused role.

The role of the Management Accountant

• Producing accurate monthly management accounts and supporting group reporting

The ideal candidate for the Management Accountant

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified/finalist, although strong QBE candidates with the right experience will also be considered
• Solid experience of producing management accounts alongside strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience of cash flow forecasting, working capital management and business partnering would be particularly valuable
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and able to turn financial information into clear, practical insight
• Experience within a fast:paced commercial environment and Sage 200 experience would be preferred
