Morgan McKinley in Leicester is recruiting a Management Accountant to support the finance leadership team by delivering accurate management accounts and insightful financial analysis.

You will own elements of the month-end process, collaborate with operational and commercial stakeholders, and help maintain strong controls while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent required.
• Experience in management accounting essential.
• Strong systems experience and ERP familiarity.
• Analytical thinker with ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.

Management Accountant / £50,000 - £55,000 / Leicester

Working in partnership with the finance leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and insightful management accounts for a highly successful UK based business.

The role will have a broad remit across month end reporting, financial analysis, balance sheet control and business partnering.

Responsibilities for the Management Accountant include:

• Own elements of the month end process, including management accounts, journals, reconciliations and balance sheet reporting.
• Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, providing clear commentary and insight into key variances.
• Work closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand business performance and identify areas requiring further investigation.
• Take responsibility for the accurate accounting and reporting.
• Maintain strong financial controls and support the continuous improvement of reporting processes across the business.

Profile

• It is essential the candidate is a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in management accounting.
• Strong systems experience.
• Analytical skills with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly.
