Job summary

ICAEW is partnering with a PE-backed organisation in the West Midlands to recruit a Management Accountant/Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. The role sits near Kingswinford/Dudley and offers exposure to senior leadership and multi-entity finance projects.

You will work closely with the CFO, lead month-end reporting, cashflow, ERP-related transformations, and strengthen internal controls in a fast-paced growth environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong month-end and management accounting experience.
• Excellent Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and relevant tax matters.

Responsibilities

• Produce month-end management accounts and performance reporting across multiple business units.
• Support the integration and financial reporting of newly acquired businesses.
• Own weekly cashflow reporting and forecasting activities.
• Develop and enhance KPIs, management information and business performance reporting.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and strengthening internal controls.
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial information flows and reporting accuracy.

Your new role

Working closely with the CFO and wider finance team, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, business integration projects, cashflow management and the development of robust controls across a multi-entity environment.

• Produce month-end management accounts and performance reporting across multiple business units
• Support the integration and financial reporting of newly acquired businesses
• Own weekly cashflow reporting and forecasting activities
• Develop and enhance KPIs, management information and business performance reporting
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and strengthening internal controls
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial information flows and reporting accuracy
• Contribute to wider finance transformation projects, including ERP implementation, automation and systems integration

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong experience of month-end reporting and management accounting
• Technically strong and demonstrated knowledge of UK accounting standards and principles
• Good understanding of relevant tax related matters (corporation tax, VAT etc.)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business
• Comfortable working within a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment
• Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of ERP systems
