Job summary

Zenith Group in Leeds is seeking a Management Accountant to join the Group Management Accounts team on a hybrid basis. You will own divisional reporting, provide financial insight, and support a high-performing finance function with accurate reporting and robust controls.

You will collaborate across Finance and the wider business, ensuring timely month‑end close, strong analytics, and opportunities to streamline processes. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications and solid Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience within a finance environment, ideally in a multi-divisional organisation.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent numerical skills.
• Advanced Excel capability with large data sets.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Lead monthly reviews of financial performance and explain variances and trends to key stakeholders.
• Reconcile and review balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving reconciling items promptly.
• Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to support an efficient month-end close process.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve financial processes and controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting activities as required.
• Work with auditors and provide financial analysis and supporting information when needed.

What's the Role
