Job summary

Howett Thorpe is seeking a Management Accountant in Weybridge to own a portfolio of not-for-profit clients, delivering outsourced finance and advisory services. You will prepare management accounts, year-end statutory accounts, and support budgeting and cash flow reporting, while building trusted client relationships.

The role combines statutory work with proactive advisory support, offering variety, autonomy, and opportunities to impact organisations making a social difference.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or qualified by experience.
• UK accountancy practice experience.
• Strong management accounting experience.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Exposure to outsourced finance services is advantageous.
• Experience with not-for-profit organisations is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of not-for-profit clients.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts.
• Deliver outsourced finance support and advisory services.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Act as the main point of contact for client queries.
• Support year-end processes and liaise with external auditors where required.
• Ensure reporting deadlines are met across your portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and client reporting.

You will manage your own portfolio of not-for-profit clients, providing outsourced finance support and becoming their primary point of contact for day-to-day financial matters. • Experience working with not-for-profit organisations would be beneficial
