Description

As a Management Accountant, reporting into the Group Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes, providing accurate reporting, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making.

This role supports both KERB Group, the parent company behind Events and Venues businesses, and KERB+, our not-for-profit social enterprise that helps aspiring food entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses through training, mentoring and funding & trader markets. You will take ownership of the end-to-end finance function for KERB+ while also supporting the wider KERB Group finance team. This is a broad, hands-on and rewarding opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their commercial finance experience within a fast-paced and purpose-driven organisation.

What you'll be doing

Full ownership of KERB+ finance including:

  • Managing AP & AR functions - ensuring timely supplier payments and accurate customer invoicing.
  • Monitoring and analysing cash flow to support effective working capital management.
  • Month-end reporting - ensuring costs are accurately captured and recorded in the correct periods & preparation of the monthly profit and loss accounts
  • Submitting accurate VAT returns in line with statutory deadlines and regulations
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, including setting challenging and achievable targets, conducting variance analysis, and communicating key findings to the Head of Finance and wider finance team
  • Providing financial analysis and support for projects and business cases.
  • AP/AR function and month-end accounting for KERB Group
  • Liaising with payroll and other non-finance stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information and effective processes.
  • Collaborate with Operations team to develop action plans that improve margins and drive profitability, optimise labour and overhead costs and improve cost management processes
  • Proactively support debt collection, working closely with KERB’s central finance team, operational teams and clients to ensure invoiced debt is collected promptly.
  • Provide training and support to operational teams on financial reporting, helping to improve financial understanding, performance and reporting accuracy.
  • Achievement of forecasts and budgets and relevant KPI’s
  • Contribute to system-driven business intelligence development
  • Prepare and support the delivery of management information and financial reporting
  • Provide finance support for other KERB Entities where required
