Job summary

VNI Finance in Glasgow city centre is seeking a Management Accountant to join a global manufacturer investing in its Scottish operations as it grows its presence in the UK renewable energy supply chain.

You will produce monthly management accounts, explain the drivers of revenue and costs, and discuss findings with operational colleagues. You will help build budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting, and support year-end work.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified and working towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification, or recently qualified.
• Hands-on month-end experience in an industry finance team.
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting is helpful.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Explain drivers behind changes in revenue, manufacturing costs and margins to operational colleagues.
• Help budget holders build budgets and forecasts, and support cash flow and working capital reporting.

VNI Finance is recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturer investing in its Scottish operations as it grows its presence in the UK renewable energy supply chain. You’ll have support from experienced finance colleagues and the opportunity to shape how the business reports and understands its performance as it grows.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• You’ll be part-qualified and working towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification, or recently qualified.
• You’ll have hands‑on month‑month experience in an industry finance team, be comfortable with Excel, and be able to explain the numbers clearly to colleagues outside finance.
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting is helpful. If you’ve supported those processes and want to take on more responsibility, this role gives you room to do that.
