Job summary

Campbell Grove Talent Ltd near Garforth Leeds is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to join a small, sharp finance team. You will work beside the Finance Director, handling real numbers, real decisions and real problems from day one.

If you enjoy owning the ledger from month-end to reporting and want to influence performance across sites, this role offers close involvement with the FD and a fast-paced SME environment.

Qualifications

• Part qualified or qualified by experience.
• Hands on experience in an SME environment.
• Experience producing the monthly management accounts.
• Ability to ownership and follow things through.
• Comfortable working independently, but know when to flag something up.
• Willing to learn by working close to the transactions.

Responsibilities

• Pulling together management accounts for review with the FD.
• Helping the business understand what's really driving performance across its sites.
• Quarterly cash flow forecasting.
• Digging into variances until you know why, not just what.
• Reconciliations, posting month-end journals: accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition.
• Delivering the monthly close to a proper timetable.
• Keeping the ledgers clean, accurate and properly controlled.
• Running AP and AR, payment runs one day, chasing a stubborn debtor the next.

You won't be buried in a big corporate structure reporting to a reporting line to a reporting line. You'll be sat next to the Finance Director, working on real numbers, real decisions, and real problems from day one.

What you'll be doing:

This is a broad, hands-on Management Accountant role. No two days will look quite the same, but expect to be:

• Pulling together management accounts for review with the FD


• Helping the business understand what's really driving performance across its sites


• Quarterly cash flow forecasting


• Digging into variances until you know why, not just what
