WorkForce Employment Services Ltd in Bromley, Kent is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing property and construction business. You will own management accounts, financial reporting and the day-to-day finance function, working closely with senior management to provide accurate financial information for commercial decision-making.

Experience in construction or property is advantageous, with strong QuickBooks skills and solid Excel competence.

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Location: Bromley, Kent

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Primarily office-based; hybrid or part-time may be considered

We are recruiting an experienced Management Accountant to join a successful and growing property and construction business based in Bromley, Kent.

This is a key finance position within the company and would suit a commercially minded accountant who is comfortable taking ownership of management accounts, financial reporting and the day-to-day finance function.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, providing accurate financial information and insight to support commercial decision-making as the business continues to expand.

Experience within construction, property or a related sector would be highly advantageous, together with a good working knowledge of QuickBooks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Produce budgets, forecasts and cash flow information
• Monitor income, expenditure and project costs
• Analyse financial performance and report on key variances
• Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks
• Oversee balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Manage accruals, prepayments and month-end processes
• Support accounts payable, receivables and credit control where required
• Provide clear financial information to Directors and senior management
• Assist with budgeting and commercial decision-making
• Liaise with external accountants, suppliers and other professional advisers
• Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar finance role
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
• Good commercial awareness and analytical ability
• Experience using QuickBooks would be highly beneficialdi
• Construction and/or property industry experience is desirable
• Strong Excel and general IT skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident working independently and taking ownership of the finance function
• Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Professional accountancy qualifications or part-qualification would be advantageous
