Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Management Accountant to support the Finance Director and help drive financial efficiency across the business.

You will oversee accounts payable, prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns, assist with budgeting and cash flow analysis, and push cost‑control initiatives. Advanced Excel skills and strong communication are essential as you partner with auditors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (AAT or equivalent).
• 3+ years of management accounting experience.
• Experience with payroll processes preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive approach to cost control, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Confidence in solving complex problems with a logical mindset.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Finance Director in the overall management of the finance department.
• Managing the accounts payable process and weekly multi-currency payment runs.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Providing insights on property and overhead costs and driving cost-saving initiatives.
• Assisting with the year-end audit, liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
• Supporting the renewal of maintenance and energy contracts.
• Offering backup support to the payroll department as needed.

If so, this newly created Management Accountant position is for you, as you will join a dynamic finance team and work closely with the Finance Director to support continued growth and performance.
