Job summary

Michael Page in Banbury is seeking a Management Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgets, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making.

You will produce monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheets), lead month-end close, manage schedules, journals, VAT, audits, and contribute to budgeting and pricing analysis for international markets.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets for various entities.
• Lead month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain prepayment, accrual, stock, and fixed asset schedules, including depreciation calculations.
• Prepare and post journals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities alongside the Financial Controller.
• Deliver financial analysis and assist with performance reporting for online and overseas business operations.
• Prepare VAT returns, support cashflow reporting, assist with audits, and contribute to pricing analysis for international markets.
