Michael Page is seeking a Management Accountant for a site-based, full-time role in North Kent. The successful candidate will prepare monthly management accounts, conduct variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

The role requires fully qualified accountants with strong Excel and ERP experience, plus excellent communication and commercial acumen to collaborate with non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, or Financial Accountant roles.
• Strong understanding of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet control.
• Experience with fixed assets, depreciation, capex reporting and construction in progress.

Client Details

Our North Kent client is a growing and looking for a Management Accountant to join them on a full time and permanent basis.

This is a site based role.

Description

Management Accountant responsibilities include;

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and detailed variance analysis.
• Manage month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term financial planning activities.
• Monitor operational expenditure and analyse key cost drivers across the business.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, capital expenditure reporting, and assets under construction.
• Partner with non-finance stakeholders to improve financial understanding and performance management.
• Review revenue, supplier costs, and cost allocations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of robust financial controls and processes.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have/ be:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner, or Financial Accountant role.
• Strong understanding of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet control.
• Experience managing fixed assets and capital expenditure reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience within property, engineering, manufacturing or technology would be advantageous.

Job Offer

• Salary of £55,000 to £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
