Job summary

Michael Page in Banbury is seeking a Management Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgets, analysis, and decision support. You will produce monthly management accounts, lead month-end, maintain schedules, and prepare journals to ensure accurate reporting.

The role also covers VAT, cashflow reporting, audits, and pricing analysis for international markets, with emphasis on accuracy, controls, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in financial reporting and budgeting within retail.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Good communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheets.
• Lead month-end processes with timely reporting.
• Maintain prepayments, accruals, stock and fixed asset schedules (depreciation).
• Prepare and post journals ensuring accuracy and controls.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning with the Financial Controller.
• Deliver financial analysis and support pricing analysis for international markets.
