ABM is seeking a reliable Shopping Centre Cleaner for FORGE Shopping Centre in Glasgow. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across busy public areas and staff zones, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and tenants.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to health and safety procedures in a fast-paced public setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in general cleaning or housekeeping preferred but not essential.
• Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Good attention to detail and reliable with punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shopping centre.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including malls, corridors, entrances, toilets, lifts, escalators, stairwells, and staff areas.
• Sweep, mop, polish, and disinfect surfaces as required.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to spillages and cleaning emergencies to maintain safety standards.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and hand towels in washroom facilities.
• Use cleaning equipment and machinery safely and correctly.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damages to supervisors.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.

We areseekinga reliable and hardworking Shopping Centre Cleaner to join our housekeeping team. The successful candidate willbe responsible formaintaininghigh standardsof cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout a busy shopping centre environment, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for customers, tenants, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shopping centre.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including malls,corridors,entrances, toilets, lifts, escalators, stairwells, and staff areas.
• Sweep, mop, polish, and disinfect surfaces asrequired.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to spillages and cleaning emergencies tomaintainsafety standards.

• Always follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damages to supervisors.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the shopping centreremainsclean, presentable, and operational during busy trading periods.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.
• Previouscleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy public environment.
• Good attention to detail andhigh standardsof cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays ifrequired.
• Good communicationskills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures is desirable.
