Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Support Worker in Wyboston, Bedfordshire (MK44). The role offers 36 hours per week in a full-time capacity and involves day-to-day support for up to 10 people with mental health needs, including promoting independence and personal development within a safe, structured setting.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting and encouraging development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying to routine appointments or administering medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

About Pathway House:

Pathway House is a specialist residential service that offers a homely, relaxed atmosphere that enables people to explore boundaries in a safe and structured setting. People can realise their potential and gain maximum control over their future.

We support up to 10 people with Mental Health needs who may also have a dual diagnosis of Autism or a mild Learning Disability. People we support are supported to understand their diagnosis and develop coping strategies to manage their anxieties, which reduce the frequency and severity of challenging behaviours.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:
