Job summary

Real Life Options in Macduff is looking for a Male Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and autism in daily living, in their homes and within the community. You will provide compassionate personal care, practical support, and help people pursue their interests.

As part of a vibrant and welcoming community hub, you'll provide support to individuals in their day-to-day lives—helping them maintain independence, engage in activities they enjoy, and access the wider community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting service users with daily tasks in their homes and the community

About the Service

The majority of our service users live independently within the same community complex, which foster strong friendships and a wholesome, neighbourly atmosphere. Social events and group activities are held regularly at the on-site hub, encouraging connection and wellbeing.

Shifts & Hours

Shifts follow a rotating pattern and may include:

• 8:00am–5:00pm

• 9:00am–4:00pm

• 10:00am–7:00pm

• 5:00pm–10:00pm

• 4:00pm–9:00am (overnight support)

Flexibility is essential, and occasional sleepover shifts may be required once you are confident and experienced in the role.
