Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Male Learning Support Assistant to join a South Liverpool school supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD and SEMH. This is a full-time role focusing on providing 1:1 and small group support within a specialist SEN environment.

You will implement EHC plans, reinforce behaviour management, and work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to promote wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASC/ADHD and SEMH needs in an educational setting.
• Demonstrates safeguarding awareness and commitment to child welfare.
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Implement and follow EHC plans and personalised support strategies.
• Deploy behaviour management techniques to reduce challenging behaviour.
