Your World Nursing is seeking a Locum Major Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join our Liverpool team. You will prepare and maintain a sterile operating room, pass instruments, maintain instrument counts, and support the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

The role requires NHS/private sector experience, NMC registration, and UK working rights. Competitive pay with training, support, and 24/7 consultant assistance are provided, including travel and accommodation assistance where needed.

Formación

• NMC registration and UK practising eligibility.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in a UK healthcare setting.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment.
• Sterilise and organise all surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain an accurate count of instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist as required.
• Follow strict aseptic techniques to minimise infection risk.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe, efficient surgical environment.
• Assist with patient positioning and draping.
• Document and maintain records of procedures.
• Stay updated on best practices in surgical nursing and sterilisation.

The role

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilised and organised
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures
• Maintain a count of all surgical instruments and supplies to prevent discrepancies
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist as required
• Follow strict aseptic techniques to minimise the risk of infection
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment
• Assist with patient positioning and draping
• Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures
• Stay up-to-date on best practices in surgical nursing and sterilisation procedures
