Job summary

READ Foundation in the UK is seeking a Fundraising Manager to lead donor cultivation and income growth. You will manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals, major donors and local communities to maximise donations and deliver ambitious fundraising targets.

The role involves developing fundraising events, coordinating volunteers, occasional overseas travel with donors, and reporting income and expenditure for each donor.

• Experience managing a portfolio of diverse donors.
• Excellent communication to build long‑lasting relationships.
• Event and project management experience.
• Ability to juggle a demanding workload.
• Forward-thinking, strategic and innovative.
• Excellent written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a community fundraising strategy to generate income.
• Be an ambassador at events and uphold the charity's profile.
• Maintain relationships with donors to maximise donations.
• Champion philanthropic engagement and maximise opportunities.
• Hold regular fundraising events and develop volunteers.
• Meet with National Fundraising Manager UK to review progress and targets.
• Adhere to Institute of Fundraising best practice and relevant regulations.
• Identify new opportunities for fundraising.
• Build READ Foundation team capacity in major donor fundraising.
