About The Role

Are you passionate about driving business success and building meaningful relationships? SMT GB is seeking a Major Account Manager who thrives on collaboration and innovation to enhance our major accounts across various sectors. In this exciting role, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts to deliver exceptional value to clients, enhancing their experience with our products and services.

What you will be doing:

  • Take charge of key accounts by developing and executing strategic plans that align with client goals, ensuring their ongoing success with our offerings
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions that exceed their expectations
  • Act as the go-to person for all matters related to your accounts—whether it's navigating complex negotiations or providing insights on our product innovations
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, and technical teams to ensure a seamless experience for our clients
  • Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to your accounts
  • Drive account growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities, always focusing on delivering unparalleled value
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for management to showcase progress and identify areas for improvement


Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

To thrive in this role, we are looking for someone who possesses:

  • Proven track record of sales and customer service experience in the construction industry
  • Applications knowledge and experience including an understanding of construction machine mechanics is required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport quickly
  • A strategic mindset coupled with a proactive, results-driven approach
  • A deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into effective solutions
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong organizational skills
  • A background in the construction or heavy machinery industry
  • Ability to travel regularly around the UK
