Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an experienced maintenance tutor to join a further education provider in the North West on a temporary basis. You will plan and deliver a mix of classroom theory and hands-on maintenance sessions to help learners build practical competence.

You will assess learners, monitor progress, adapt delivery for varying abilities and provide clear feedback, while developing learning resources and contributing to curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

• A recognised maintenance or engineering qualification at Level 3 or equivalent
• Strong occupational background in maintenance
• Ability to motivate and support learners to achieve

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging theory and practical maintenance sessions.
• Assessing learners' knowledge and practical skills and giving clear, constructive feedback.
• Monitoring attendance, engagement and achievement, and stepping in early where a learner needs support.
• Producing learning resources and contributing to curriculum delivery.

About the Role

A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Maintenance Tutor to join them on a temporary basis. You'll plan and deliver teaching that blends classroom theory with hands-on practical sessions, helping learners build the competence and confidence the industry expects.

You'll work with learners of varying ability, adapting your delivery so everyone can progress, and you'll track that progress carefully so no one falls behind.
