Job summary

Randox Laboratories is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance/Manufacturing Department at Randox Science Park, Antrim. The role covers reactive and preventive maintenance, equipment validation, and continuous improvement across filling, capping, and labeling lines.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years’ manufacturing maintenance experience, NVQ3 or equivalent, and a clean driving licence. Flexibility for shift work and occasional site coverage across NI/ROI is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance or related experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals.
• Experience with motor control systems, process controls, pneumatics and PLC/ PC control system.
• Knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance practices.
• Experience of working as a Maintenance Technician, carrying out electrical / mechanical machinery repairs, fault finding and problem solving within a manufacturing environment.
• Current clean driving licence.
• Able to work flexible hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns and identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and update schedules as needed.
• Assist with equipment validation.
• Maintain technical documentation (specifications, drawings, calculations, reports, and procedures).
• Identify repeat failures and lead continuous improvement projects for performance and cost optimization.
• Conduct risk assessments and method statements to ensure H&S compliance.
• Support maintenance of high-speed automated equipment, including filling, capping, and labeling machines.
• Review and update critical spares.
• Train and mentor team members for continuous improvement.
• Participate in on-call rota on rotation.
