Job summary

Randox Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for their Antrim Town laboratory. You will handle routine clinical testing, manage samples from Randox Health clinics and external sources, and maintain accurate records.

The role includes shift rotation and responsibilities across equipment and quality processes. Candidates should have at least A level science, be team players, and demonstrate strong attention to detail with good computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least A level or equivalent in a science subject.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
• Flexible on shift times.
• Strong attention to detail and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine clinical testing in the laboratory.
• Handle receipt and accession of samples across multiple sources.
• Perform specimen analysis, storage and disposal.
• Maintain sample inventory and stock control.
• Adhere to chain of custody procedures during analysis.
• Operate and maintain laboratory analysers (SYSMEX XS-1000i) and related equipment.
• Support preparation of specimens for transport and ensure sample stability.
• Record and monitor temperatures of laboratory equipment.
