Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the team located in Colchester.

Role Summary:

As a CBRE Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will utilise your advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Working under limited supervision, you will monitor building system operations and performance, utilising several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to M&E plant in line with statutory requirements and best industry standards.
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company policies related to building operations and safety.
3. Represent CBRE values and behaviours, maintaining a professional image and delivering excellent customer service.
4. Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation and environmental conditions as prescribed by the client.
5. Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors, including landscaping, snow removal, remodelling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.
6. Perform repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, completing necessary records.
7. Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and order supplies as needed.
8. Maintain energy management programs to operate systems efficiently and minimize costs.
9. Maintain lighting systems, including repairs and replacements.
10. Respond promptly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

• Experience in Facilities Management or Maintenance Engineering roles.
• Experience with Reactive and PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance).
• Degree or qualification in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
• Strong customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in MS Office and PC skills.
