Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) for a large industrial site in Abergavenny. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on state-of-the-art machinery, with a focus on electrical systems and PLC fault finding.

Working on 3-phase motors, drives and sensors, you will join a close-knit team on a rotating double-day shift, with overtime and a company bonus on offer. Training opportunities are available to upskill further.

Qualifications

• Electrical background with maintenance experience on industrial machinery.
• Experience with PLC fault finding and automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 3‑phase drives.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on state-of-the-art machinery.
• Work on 3-phase motors, drives, sensors, and PLC fault finding.
• Further training given through specific courses if needed.
• Monday to Friday, 5:30am - 2pm, then 1:30am - 10pm, rotating weekly.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x, Sunday 2x

Are you a Maintenance Technician/Engineer looking for a fresh challenge working on a large industrial site, on an array of cutting-edge machinery and equipment?

Are you looking for the flexibility that double days brings, whilst furthering your skills within a close-knit team for an engineering powerhouse in their industry?

In this double-days based role you will be performing a split of planned and reactive maintenance in a busy industrial environment, working on 3-phase machinery, lasers, PLC controls, hydraulics, drives and related equipment.

Founded nearly 70 years ago, this materials processing company are the largest in the UK within their sector, boasting a turnover of 120 million. With a recent investment of 40 million into new machinery, they aim to continue growing on their 40-acre site for years to come.

This role would suit someone from an electrical background, looking to further their career in a dynamic role where every day brings fresh challenges.

The Role:

• Performing planned and reactive maintenance on state-of-the-art machinery
