Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) in Abergavenny to maintain state-of-the-art 3-phase machinery and PLC-controlled equipment on a large industrial site. The role offers double days, with overtime and a potential company bonus, and requires a hands-on electrical background with readiness for training.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, work with drives, sensors and 3-phase motors, and receive ongoing training to enhance skills

Are you a Maintenance Technician/Engineer looking for a fresh challenge working on a large industrial site, on an array of cutting-edge machinery and equipment?

Are you looking for the flexibility that double days brings, whilst furthering your skills within a close-knit team for an engineering powerhouse in their industry?

In this double-days based role you will be performing a split of planned and reactive maintenance in a busy industrial environment, working on 3-phase machinery, lasers, PLC controls, hydraulics, drives and related equipment.

Founded nearly 70 years ago, this materials processing company are the largest in the UK within their sector, boasting a turnover of £120 million. With a recent investment of £40 million into new machinery, they aim to continue growing on their 40-acre site for years to come.

This role would suit someone from an electrical background, looking to further their career in a dynamic role where every day brings fresh challenges.

The Role

• Performing planned and reactive maintenance on state-of-the-art machinery
• Working on 3-phase motors, drives, sensors, and PLC fault finding
• Further training given through specific courses if needed
• Monday to Friday, 5:30am - 2pm, then 1:30am - 10pm, rotating weekly
• Overtime paid at 1.5x, Sunday 2x
