Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias to join their Northamptonshire operation. The role offers a stable, long-term position with overtime and a focus on reliability of production equipment.

You will carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, perform PPMs, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a busy manufacturing environment. Overtime and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
Background in manufacturing, production, process, FMCG or similar environments.
NVQ or City & Guilds or equivalent/time served.
Mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing equipment (Conveyors, Motors, Gearboxes).
Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Diagnosing and repairing production machinery breakdowns.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Working to maximise plant efficiency and uptime.

Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire)

Salary: £44,000-£46,000 (OTE £50,000-£55,000)

Hours: Monday to Friday 07.30-17.30, (45 hours per week | 37.5 hours basic rate + 7.5 contracted overtime hours paid at 1.5x rate per week)

An established manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. Due to the nature of the operation, flexibility is required, with additional overtime and call-out opportunities available.

Working Hours & Flexibility

About You

Background within manufacturing, production, process, food, packaging, recycling, FMCG, or similar environments
Relevant engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent/time served
Mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance experience
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
