This Electrical role is based at Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield but covers other health centres in the Wakefield and surrounding areas that sit under the trust footprint.
The role involves maintaining all electrical-related jobs internally and externally on the buildings.
The work is varied and changes daily based on service needs and prioritization of works.
Estates trust vehicles are used for traveling around the trust's footprint, and the successful candidate's skillset may sometimes be needed at properties in Barnsley, including Kendray Hospital, which has inpatient mental health units, and Cheswold Park Hospital, a medium to low secure unit in Doncaster.
This is an exciting role for the right candidate who enjoys a challenge in a demanding environment.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team of Electricians working alongside and supporting other trades and maintenance assistants in daily duties.
Reactive works and statutory PPM are the main responsibilities of this position.

This job description outlines the main duties. The postholder may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate and as directed.
The content will be reviewed with the postholder as needed and in line with service developments.
The postholder will be the specialist lead in their area of expertise, responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing equipment and properties belonging to the Trust or other organizations as directed.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures for in-house and contracted staff by providing training and technical support. Maintain the Trust in accordance with statutory and government guidelines (e.g., HTMs, HBNs).
The lead specialist should have knowledge of:
Perform service, testing, diagnosis, repair, and calibration of mechanical and electrical installations and equipment. Handle new situations and pass on knowledge to others. Solve technical problems during duties. Supervise facilities support workers and evaluate their work. Assemble, install, and commission new work using relevant tools and equipment.
