NHS Property Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join our Southwest team on a permanent contract. You'll maintain safety, functionality and compliance across NHS properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across electrical systems.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and customer-focused Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join our Southwest team on a permanent contract. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and making a real difference within healthcare environments that support patients and communities every day.
As a Maintenance Technician (Electrical), you'll play a key role in maintaining the safety, functionality and compliance of a varied NHS property portfolio across the Southwest. You'll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and fault-finding activities across electrical systems, ensuring our healthcare properties remain operational and compliant.
The role will predominantly cover areas including Dorset, Bristol, Bath & Northeast Somerset and Wiltshire, with Southwest House acting as the base location. You'll work closely with colleagues across the wider Property Services team to deliver a responsive, professional and customer-focused maintenance service.
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills. You'll regularly interact with site teams and healthcare colleagues, making relationship-building and communication just as important as technical expertise.
You are a qualified electrician who takes pride in delivering a high standard of work. You're proactive, dependable and solution-focused, with the ability to manage your own workload effectively while working as part of a wider team. You enjoy problem solving, are committed to safety and compliance, and understand the importance of providing excellent service to customers and stakeholders.

This is a field-based role covering the Southwest region, particularly Dorset, Bristol, Bath & Northeast Somerset and Wiltshire. Your base location will Southwest House, with travel required across the region to support our healthcare estate.
