Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a qualified Electrical Estates Technician to join the Estates & Facilities team within a large NHS Trust.

You will support maintenance, fault finding, installations and testing across critical hospital electrical and building services to keep facilities safe and compliant.

The role includes on-call duties, working with contractors and providing technical guidance to colleagues to drive service improvements.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in an electrical discipline.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and building services.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on LV electrical services, lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, BMS, UPS, generators and other building systems.
• Undertake electrical installations, testing and inspections in line with statutory regulations and NHS standards.
• Support contractors and specialist engineers while ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency maintenance issues.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and contribute to service improvement projects.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Estates Technician to join the Estates & Facilities team, supporting the maintenance, repair and safe operation of electrical and building services across a busy NHS Trust. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, installations, inspections and testing of a wide range of electrical systems, ensuring critical hospital infrastructure remains safe, compliant and fully operational.
