You’ll play a vital role in keeping essential systems running safely and efficiently, supporting not only day-to-day operations but also a wide range of decommissioning activities. If you’re motivated, hands‑on, and enjoy solving technical challenges, this role offers both stability and variety in equal measure.

What Will You Be Doing

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll be a key member of the Maintenance Team, delivering both preventative and corrective maintenance activities to a high standard. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring electrical systems are maintained, reliable, safe and compliant.

You’ll be trusted to interpret maintenance requirements, contribute to corrective actions, and support installation activities in line with established regulations and designs. This is a role where no two days are the same requiring a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to teamwork and safety. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine preventative maintenance, breakdown investigations, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Maintaining, fault finding, and repairing a wide range of equipment including ventilation systems, battery systems, distribution boards and switchboards, lighting, control systems, motor control systems, cranes, elevators, as well as electrical wiring installation
  • Working in full compliance with Site Licence requirements, statutory regulations, company procedures, and safety rules.
  • Support electrical installations in line with IET Wiring Regulations and approved designs
Who We Are Looking For

With a solid technical foundation and strong practical experience, you bring both competence and confidence when working across a range of electrical systems. You enjoy being part of a team, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a recognised electrical apprenticeship or technical training, along with qualifications aligned to Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and certification to the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations. Your experience will include working with a variety of electrical systems alongside a strong understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations.

  • Essential qualifications include a relevant apprenticeship or technical training, Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), and 18th Edition (BS7671) certification
  • Proven hands‑on experience across electrical maintenance, installations, and fault‑finding on diverse equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, including Electricity at Work Regulations
