Job summary

Salus Care is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Oak View to upkeep both inside and outside areas, including grounds, ensuring residents live in a warm, safe environment. You will drive the company van to Swansea and other sites as needed, liaising with residents and staff to keep the service running smoothly.

You should have maintenance experience or equivalent, be able to work with builders and service providers, and possess painting/decorating skills.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience or equivalent practical task knowledge.
• General building trade experience.
• Ability to paint and decorate.
• Experience of dealing with professionals and service users.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and/or replace all fixtures and fittings as appropriate.
• Repair damage to buildings, fixtures and plant with safety oversight.
• Ensure routine maintenance programmes are established and maintained.
• Check all electrical items for safety before use.
• Maintain and record Health and Safety checklists.
• Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained.
• Maintain grounds and external environment in a safe, attractive condition.
• Liaise, monitor and escort site contractors for safe working practices.
• Assist management with security-related requirements.
